Faith MangopeFounder
Washington Fellow Faith Mangope is an astute professional with an intellectual climate to back up her captivating broadcasting skills. The host of Metro FM Talk, on South Africa’s largest commercial radio station, she engages daily on socio-political and economic matters to a listenership of over 4 million. Faith is also the Founder of the Faith Mangope Technology and Leadership Institute, a digital skills and leadership development institution dedicated to addressing the digital skills gap currently faced in South Africa and the African continent. It capacitates young women and men from disadvantaged backgrounds with digital skills competencies to be relevant in the marketplace, and then places these youth in jobs upon completion of the year long programme. It looks to future proof the world of work thereby future proofing South Africa and Africa’s economy. Faith is also the co-founder and Director of FMTALI-Tech, a tech solutions private company which services both private and public markets. The uniqueness of FMTALI-Tech is that it’s service providers are mainly women.
Faith is the former host of The South African Morning on eNCA and the former Station Manager of urban and innovative digital radio station, Massiv Metro, as well as former host of e.tv’s breakfast television show, Sunrise.

Andre SnellHead of Technology
Andre has been working with computers since the early 90’s and is passionate about everything that has to do with technology. He has over 11 years of educator experience, working with high school students and has also mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students on their journey to qualify as Software and Web Developers, besides working with students Andre has also mentored professionals in the workforce wanting to upskill or switch to a career in Information Technology. Andre is responsible for our Software Development Programme at FMTALI.

Lana Leas Roy CEO
Lana Leas Roy is an innovative entrepreneur and influential leader in tech, known for her visionary work in financial technology and social entrepreneurship. As the co-founder of CQS (IA) Technology Holdings and the CEO of Goats2Unicorns, she has received numerous accolades, including the Innovator of the Year 2020 at the World Innovation Congress. Lana is dedicated to empowering young women in tech through her role as CEO of the Faith Mangope Tech and Leadership Institute for Women and promotes inclusivity as the Disability Inclusion Project Coordinator at the Lubner Foundation and Afrika Tikkun. Her workshops on creativity and innovation have inspired top corporations like Investec, PWC, and Discovery. Passionate about fostering creativity and complex problem-solving skills, Lana continues to shape the future of technology and social impact with her dynamic leadership and innovative approach.
